Obituary for Andre S. Sayegh

Andre S. Sayegh, age 82, of New Haven, passed away on May 23, 2018 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Born in Jerusalem, Israel on September 11, 1935, he was the son of the late Saliba & Huda (Sawabini) Sayegh. Andre is survived by his wife Nahla (Smeirat) Sayegh; his daughter Juliana A. Sayegh of Hamden; his son Albert A. Sayegh of New Haven and sisters, Rima Sayegh of Branford, Nariman Ziyadeh & her husband Basem of Branford, Nadia Hawit of San Diego, CA and Nahida Smeirat of Amman, Jordan. Andre was predeceased by his sister Odette Habbash. He was a resident of New Haven since 1970. Andre was a jeweler, employed over 50 years at Cellini Jewelers in Orange.
Friends may visit with his family at BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden on Saturday, May 26, 2018 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM and may also attend his Mass of Christian Burial, to be celebrated Saturday at 10:00 AM in St. Aedan Church, 112 Fountain St., New Haven. Burial will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park, New Haven. Contributions in Andre's memory may be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
