Obituary for Barbara Walker Hogan

Barbara Walker Hogan, age 90, recently of Wallingford, passed away at her home on July 29, 2018. Born in New Haven on January 16, 1928, she was a daughter of the late William & Florence (Starks) Walker. Barbara was the widow of John J. Hogan, mother of the late Thomas Hogan, and sister of the late Charlotte Walker & Robert Walker. She is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Casolino of Hamden and Betsy Pattison & her husband David of Cheshire; her beloved grandchildren Kimberly Casolino, Michael (Tina) Casolino, & Samuel Pattison and many much loved nieces & nephews. A lifelong resident of Hamden, she was a graduate of the UCONN nursing program and an avid fan of their women's basketball team. Barbara was employed by the Town of Hamden Board of Education as a Registered School Nurse. She was a member of the Hamden Historical Society and a volunteer at the Hamden Public Library for many years.
Friends may attend her Funeral Service on Saturday, August 4th at 10:30 AM at Dunbar United Church of Christ, 419 Dunbar Hill Rd., Hamden. Her interment will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to the Hamden Historical Society, P.O. Box 185512, Hamden, CT 06518. Arrangements are in care of BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden.
