Obituary for Robert "Bob" Finnell

Robert J. "Bob" Finnell, of Hamden, passed away on June 2, 2018. Born in New Bedford, MA on December 22, 1946 he was a son of the late Raymond A. Finnell Jr & Julia Crane Finnell. Bob was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War and a retired employee of Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. He is survived by his sister, Elizabeth A. "Liz" Finnell of Hamden and several cousins. Bob was predeceased by his brothers, William P. Finnell and Michael R. Finnell. A resident of Hamden most of his life he will be greatly missed by his sister Liz. He enjoyed his numerous trips camping and fishing to Cape Cod and New Hampshire with his family. Bob was a lifetime member of the NRA and a fan of the NY Giants and Nascar Racing.
Friends may visit with his family on Friday, June 8th from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden and may attend his Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 AM in Blessed Sacrament Church, 321 Circular Ave, Hamden. Burial with Military Honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven. Contributions in Bob's memory are asked to be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
