Parente, A. Robert 'Bob' A. Robert 'Bob' Parente, 96, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2009 in Hamden. Bob was born in New Haven to the late Liberato and Maria DeCrosta Parente and was a lifelong resident of the Hamden/New Haven area. He graduated from Wesleyan University (Middletown, CT) with Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Mathematics. His career as a realtor, real estate appraiser and counselor in CT spanned over 50 years. He was a member of the Counselors of Real Estate (CRE) and the Appraisal Institute (MAI, SREA) and was a past president of the CT chapters of these organizations. He also served on the national faculty of the Appraisal Institute in the 1960s and 1970s, specializing in capitalization theory and techniques. Bob is survived by his wife, Olga Venditti Parente, daughters Jean P. Ulrich (Eldon) of Madison, WI and Roberta A. Parente (Roger Bone) of Bridgewater, NJ and four granddaughters, Emily and Melanie Ulrich and Sara and Michelle Bone. He is also survived by a sister, Anne Parente of Hamden and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters Liber 'Josephine' Gagliardi, Carmina and Julia Parente and brothers, Leonard Parente, M.D., MPH and Michael Parente. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 10:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery in Hamden. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions designated for the Sciences may be made in his name to Wesleyan University, 318 High St, Middletown, CT 06459.
