Alan John Lehto, 56, of Westbrook, CT, formerly of Guilford, CT, died peacefully at home on Oct. 25, 2004 after a short illness. He was the kind and loving husband of Rita Connolly Lehto for 25 years. Born in Detroit, MI, Oct. 9, 1948, Alan served in the US Navy in the 1960's. He received his BS Degree from Arizona State University and his MBA from University of CT. He was employed as an area manager, professional engineer with SNET/SBC. He was an avid boater, fisherman, golfer and football fan. He is survived by his mother, Anne Lehto, sister, Lori Kenney and husband, Keith, brother, Bill, sister, Patty Carpenter Prudhomme and husband, David, all from MI; his sister by marriage, Vilma Roetting Cook and husband, Bud, brothers by marriage, Frank Connolly and wife, Terri, David Connolly, all from CT and devoted aunts, uncles, 15 nieces and nephews, 5 great-nieces and nephews and cousins. Alan was predeceased by his father, Donald and his uncle, Donald Puvogel. Alan leaves behind an abundance of devoted friends, neighbors and business colleagues. Funeral from the Swan Funeral Home, Sat., Oct. 30 at 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Margaret Church, Madison at 10 a.m. Burial in West Cemetery.
