Alexander L. Martinez, 20, beloved son of Ricardo and Rosaura Frias Martinez passed away suddenly Sunday July 24, 2011 in Middletown as the result of a motor vehicle accident. Brother of Kenneth R. Martinez of N.J., and Richard Martinez of FL and also survived by his grandmother, Serafina Torres, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and his girlfriend, Melanie Cabrera. Alex was born July 12, 1991in Paterson, NJ and graduated from Platt H.S. in 2009 and was attending Gateway Community College. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday July 29, at 10 am in St. Rose of Lima Church, 35 Center St., Meriden. Relatives and friends may visit with his family on Thursday from 4 - 8 pm at the Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave, Meriden. Interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
