In Pinehurst, NC, May 18, 2003, Alice Berchtold Gordon, 93, wife of the late William J. Gordon, of Pinehurst formerly of New Haven, mother of Karol Schriber and her husband, Mike of Pinehurst, NC and Alese Garcia and her husband, Richard of Brewster, NY and grandmother of , Matthew and Michael Schriber and William and Alison Garcia. Alice was born in New Haven, July 10, 1909 daughter of the late Karl and Carolina Mayer Berchtold. She was a teacher for the New Haven School System for over 30 years. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, Wed., May 21 at 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Hamden at 10 a.m. Interment in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
