Alice Branca Negri, born June 1, 1921, to the late Anthony and Anna DeLeone Branca, and beloved wife of 51 years to the love of her life, the late Joseph C. Negri, entered into eternal rest July 27, 2017. She was predeceased by sisters, Mary Branca Brasile (Alfred); Pauline Branca Sandella (Richard); and brother, Frank Branca (Mary); as well as her loving nephew and his wife, Richard and Joan Sandella. Alice is survived by many loving nieces and nephews, especially Ann Raccio (Angelo) of North Haven; Richard Sandella Jr. (Janet) of Guilford; Carol Hartten (Chuck) of Redding; and Elaine Branca of Hamden, who visited often and cared for her; as well as Paul Sandella (Virginia) of Guilford, Jeane Mullally of Hamden and Tony Negri (Kathleen) of Beavercreek, Ohio. Alice, who was born in New Haven, worked at A.C. Gilbert Co., and was a secretary for Girls Scouts of America. She and her husband spent many happy years on Arcadia Avenue in Hamden, and later she lived at Davenport Dunbar Residence in Hamden and the Hamden Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. Family and friends may visit from 9:30-11:00 a.m. Monday, August 7th, at Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden, and may attend her Prayer Service which will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial follows at Beaverdale Memorial Park in Hamden.
