Alphena M. Doucette Money, 89, of Hamden originally from Bridgeport, wife of the late Louie Money died Friday, April 12, 2013 at Hamden Health Care Center. Born on April 18, 1923 in Grand Isle Maine a daughter of the late Leonard and Annie Cyr Doucette. She enjoyed bingo, tennis, doing crafts, knitting, crocheting and was a Mets fan. Gifted with a lovely voice, Alphena shared her talent with others at many different events. She is survived by her siblings, Jeannette Belanger of Rumford, ME, Geraldine Andrukevich of Hamden, Sister Georgeanne Doucette of the Good Shepherd Sisters of Saco, ME, and Roger (Lucille) Doucette of Glastonbury, and numerous nieces, and nephews, grand, and great grand. Predeceased by her siblings Leo, Leonide, Blanche, Noella, Lena, Edmond & Alphy Doucette, Christine Breau, Gilberte Dufour, and Lillian Dumais. Her family would like to thank ALL of the staff at Hamden Health Care for all their compassionate loving care. Friends may visit with her family on Tuesday, April 16th from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden and may attend her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Hamden. Burial will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield.
