Obituary

MERIDEN - Amy Berry Hermann, 89, of 290 Swain Ave., died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2004, at Miller Memorial Community. She was the wife of Emil Hermann. Born in Meriden on Dec. 11, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Amy Heineman Berry. She was a graduate of Meriden High School and had been employed as a bookkeeper for the Y.M.C.A., the former Play Pen, Resident's Store and Meriden Auction Rooms. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and the Friends of the Meriden Library. Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Kreminski of Meriden; a son and his wife, Kurt and Eileen Hermann of Hebron, CT; a grandson and his wife, Michael and Kimberley Kreminski of Albany, Georgia; and she is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Ruth Brainard. A memorial service will be held Sat., Feb. 28, 2004 at 9 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, 520 Paddock Ave., Meriden. The Rev. David R. Brinkley will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the Beecher and Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden.
