Angela Mejias

Angela Mejias, 92, of Meriden, loving wife of the late Anselmo Mejias, passed away at home surrounded by her family on October 14, 2026. She was born in Aguada, PR on November 5, 1933, daughter of the late Ramon and Sixta Badillo Lopez. Angela is survived by her daughter Glady Bacote and her husband Leonard, son Wilfred Mejias, grandchildren Amy Cruz and her husband Juan, Tiffany Bacote and her husband Juary, Wilfred Mejias and his wife Kate, Nina Terribile and her husband Dan, great-grandchildren Alexis Bacote-Rivera, Serenity Sanchez, Gabriela, Nicolas, and Marco Mendes, sisters Sofia Acevedo, Maria Lopez Badillo and Luz Maria Lopez Badillo. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brothers Jesus, Eusebio, Alfredo, and Angel Lopez. Angela was a faithful Catholic devoted to the Virgin Mary. She was a loving and devoted grandmother who cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, scratch-off tickets, singing and word searches. Though her presence will deeply be missed the love she gave will live on in our hearts forever.

A funeral service celebrating Angela’s life will be held on Monday October 19, 2026, at 11:00am in Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave. Meriden. Friends are invited to visit with her family from 9:00am-11:00am prior to the service. Interment will be held in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
