Angela ''Jill'' Saubestre, 81, wife of the late Edward B. Saubestre, of 24 West Slope Lane, Hamden passed away December 3, 2004 in St. Raphael Hospital after a brief illness. Beloved mother of Annette S. Prezioso and her husband, Joseph Prezioso of Milford and Paul A. Saubestre of Hamden with whom she resided. Devoted grandmother of Michael Prezioso. Sister of John J. Vella of Scotrun, PA. Aunt of Vanessa Pozniak of PA and Angelica Vella of NY. Mrs. Saubestre was born in NYC November 19, 1923, a daughter of the late Joseph and Concetta Puma Vella and resided in Hamden since 1958. She was employed at United States Steel Co. for 15 years as a teletype operator until 1957, was a parishioner of St. Rita Church and volunteered at the Whitney Manor for 7 years. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, Monday, December 6, at 9:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Rita Church at 10 AM. Friends may call Sunday from 4-7PM.
