Angelo A.
"Bosch" Greco
July 18, 1927 – October 22, 2024
We are deeply saddened to announce that our beloved and caring father, Angelo Anthony "Bosch" Greco, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2024.
Born in New Haven July 18, 1927, he was the son of the late Pasquale and Rose Bozzuto Greco. Angelo often spoke of his father's beginnings, when Pasquale Greco arrived at Ellis Island at 17 years of age, where a manifest records plaque holds his name, honoring many of the New American arrivals of Italian heritage.
Nicknamed "Bosch" in his youth, his friends referred to him as Bosch or Boschie with joy! Whenever Bosch would arrive at a family gathering or a dinner dance, the room was complete. Angelo took the time to speak to everyone there in a loving way.
He always said, "It's important to go and see family and friends…let them know you care."
Passionately at 21 years of age, Angelo fell in love with his late wife, Bernice Elizabeth Horlacher Greco.
Angelo and Bernice, so much in love, eloped to Maryland. Bernice, his young bride of eighteen years of age, together they married in 1948, and had wedded bliss lasting sixty-two years.
Family and home was everything to Angelo and Bernice. Raising their four sons made them quite proud, Paul Angelo, Gary William, Brian Rocco, and Mark Anthony.
Becoming grandparents also brought Angelo and Bernice beautiful joy, welcoming Anthony and Angela, whom they cherished and adored with devotion.
Youthful with determination, Angelo, along with his lifelong friend and business partner Louis "Jake" Romano, utilized their entrepreneurial skills and innovation to create their own company, Greco & Romano Drywall & Taping Company.
Enthralled with the music of his generation, Bosch, loving to dance. His sons recall a magical moment, with Sinatra singing "Fly Me to the Moon" on the family's Hi-Fi, Angelo, arriving home from a day's work, swept our mom into his embracing arms, giving her a loving kiss, as they began dancing in the kitchen, romantically and so happy. We knew there was no greater love than theirs, our mom and dad, "Bosch & Bernie."
Angelo was also predeceased by his late brothers, Daniel and Rocco Greco, and sister, Pasqualina Greco Afragola.
