Ann H. Bartiss, 77, of West Haven, wife of 56 years to Thomas C. Bartiss, Sr., passed away at home on July 9, 2025. Born in New Haven on February 1, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Anne (Stamatien) Holtz. Besides her husband Thomas, she is survived by her children, Dr. Jennifer Bartiss-Earley of Plainville and Thomas Bartiss, Jr. of Vermontville, NY, beloved grandchildren, Taylor Earley of Plantsville and Emily Bartiss of Vermontville, NY, and sister, June Chafe of Mountain View, CA.

In her early years, Ann was a school crossing guard. She graduated from Southern Connecticut State College, where she earned her BS degree in chemistry and biology. She worked for Yale and the West Haven VA Hospital as an infectious disease lab technician, later moving to the nephrology lab.

Friends are invited to a Funeral Service celebrating Ann's life on Saturday, July 19th at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 28 Church Street, West Haven. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ann's memory may be made to the West Haven Animal Shelter or the Church of the Holy Spirit Memorial Fund.
