Obituary

Ann Klimczak, 86, wife of the late Edward J. Klimczak, Sr., passed away at Hamden Health Care on May 28, 2008. She was born in New Haven, CT on April 27, 1922 to the late Frank and Andreana Ferraro DiLorenzo. Ann leaves her children, Mary Dingus and former husband Gary, Adriana (Ana) Miller and husband Jim, Edward J. Klimczak, Jr. and wife Lori, and Robert Klimczak and wife Michele all of Hamden; grandchildren, Jamie A. and Kevin A. Dingus, Grace Ann and Chloe Rose Klimczak, and James Edward Miller all of Hamden and sister Betty Branchiani of Hamden and brother Louis DiLorenzo of Whitestone, NY. She was predeceased by her sisters, Joan D'Andrea, Rosie Mauro and Julie Eagan. Ann grew up in the Hill section of New Haven before moving to Hamden where she lived for the past 40 years. She graduated from Commercial High School and attended UCONN and Charter Oak College in CT. For the past 37 years, Ann had been a dedicated employee of The Barn Sale in Hamden. She began her time there as a weekly volunteer and quickly moved up to management before becoming president. Ann loved her job and felt she was doing a great service to the people of Hamden. An early riser, Ann could be found during the quiet morning hours listening to her music that ranged from Mozart to Michael Jackson. She had a love for poetry that overflowed into her enjoyment for music. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church for the past 40 years and an avid bridge player. Ann will be remembered for always speaking her mind, always being fair and for being a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Ann's family would like to thank the Clelian Center and Hamden Health Care for taking such good care of their mother during the past several years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, May 31st at 10 a.m. at Our Lady Of Mt. Carmel Church, interment to follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Hamden.
