Annabelle Shaw, age 95, passed away January 30, 2021 at Masonicare in Wallingford. Born in Bristol, CT on April 16, 1925, she was a daughter of the late William and Charlotte (Sibley) Shaw. A resident of Hamden most of her life, Annabelle retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield. She was predeceased by her sister Ruth Cohane; her brothers, Richard Shaw and William "Billy" Shaw; and her dear friend Carol Torello. She is survived by her sister-in-law Geraldine Shaw of Bethany; niece Janet Cohane; nephews James (Joanne) Cohane and William (Valerie Goodkin) Cohane, all of North Haven; nieces Deborah (Deepak) Chabra of Granite Bay, CA and Julie (Randy) Ward of Centerville, VA, and several grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins.
Friends may attend her Graveside Service on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at 12 noon at Hamden Plains Cemetery, 246 Circular Ave., Hamden. Mask and Social Distancing to be observed. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Grace & St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 2927 Dixwell Ave., Hamden, CT 06518.
