Anne Grant, age 97, of Southington, passed away on December 14, 2015. Born in New Haven on July 28, 1918 she was a daughter of the late Stephen & Antoinette Penkowsky. She is survived by her son John F. Grant, Jr & his wife Carol of Southington; her daughter Barbara Grant of California and grandchildren Christopher & Olivia D'Angelo. She was predeceased by her brother William Penkowsky & her sisters Mary DeMato & Clara Fanning. A lifelong resident of Cheshire, Anne worked for many years as a department manager for the W.T. Grant Store in New Haven. She finally retired at age 82 from Marshalls in Cheshire. Friends may attend her Graveside Service on Friday, Dec. 18th at 1:00 PM in Beaverdale Memorial Park, Section -O, in New Haven. Arrangements are in care of BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden.
