Anne T. (Miniter) Mahoney, a long-time resident of Hamden, passed away on Christmas Day. Born in 1928 in New Haven, Anne attended Hamden High, received an Associate's Degree from Stone College, and started her employment at the Peabody Museum in New Haven. She spent most of her career at New Haven Coal and Oil in Hamden, then Seaboard Oil in New Haven, and finally Hine Oil in Cheshire. She was a member of the Marian Guild at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, enjoyed baking, trips to Maine with her dear cousin Marion, vacations at Rogers Lake, trips to the Poconos, and volunteering to help others in need. Anne was the beloved wife of 58 years of the late John T. Mahoney. She is survived by sons; Ed Mahoney and his wife Denise of Michigan and Ken Mahoney and his wife Nancy of North Haven, daughter; Michelle (Mahoney) Stafford and her husband Larry Stafford of Massachusetts, and six grandchildren; Ceara, Kasey, and Erin Mahoney, Kristen (Mahoney) Creston, and Meghan and Jack Stafford. Anne was also blessed with 3 great-grandchildren; Nolan and Callahan Dubois and Eila Creston. Friends may call at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 WHITNEY AVE., HAMDEN, Thursday December 29th from 3-6 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 10 am. Burial will follow at Mt. St. Peter's Cemetery in Derby.
