Anthony "Tony" Coco, 86, of Hamden, CT died peacefully at home on January 8th, 2025 with his loving wife, Cynthia, at his bedside. He was born in Lawrence, MA on July 22, 1938. He graduated Merrimack College with a BS degree and the University of Connecticut in 1968 with a Master's of Science.
He retired from St. Raphael's Hospital in 2004 after 36 years of dedicated service as supervisor of the Microbiology Department. After retiring, he continued working part time at Milford Hospital until suffering a stroke in 2013.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia; his son, Ross Coco of Litchfield; his beloved grandchildren, Catherine (Tyler Young), Dominic (Hadley), Lida, Allana; and his precious great granddaughter, Haven Jade Young. He also leaves behind his sister, Maryanne (Donald) Marinelli, and numerous nieces and nephews, all of Massachusetts. He is predeceased by his parents, Rosario and Lida Coco and his sister, Joyce D'Antonio.

Appreciation and thanks are extended to the wonderful staff at Hartford Health Care at Home and Hartford Heath Care Hospice. Special thanks to Michelle Pert, PCN, and Patrick Welch, APRN, for the loving and compassionate care given to Tony and his wife. Love and gratitude also go out to "our angel", Wanda Grandy, who assisted in caring for Tony for nearly three years.

Friends may visit with Tony's family on Thursday, January 16th from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at Beecher & Bennett, 2300 Whitney Avenue, Hamden. A Prayer Service will be held at 11:45 a.m. in the funeral home followed by his entombment in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
