Arlene R. Erickson, age 79, of Cheshire, passed away on December 24, 2011 in Yale New Haven Hospital. Arlene was the widow of Edward F. Erickson. Born in New Haven on April 26, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Martha Page. Arlene is survived by her sons, Keith Erickson & his companion Paula Stelmack, Robert Erickson & his wife Debra and Edward T. Erickson & his wife Nancy, all of Cheshire; grandchildren, Ryan, Bridget & Kevin Erickson and step-grandchildren, Morgan MacSweeney, who was also one of her care-givers in Arlene's time of need & John MacSweeney. She was predeceased by her sister, Ellen Cann and her brother Robert Page. Arlene worked at the Nationwide Insurance Company in Hamden for many years. Arlene will forever be remembered for her hard work as a devoted mother. She looked forward to other's birthdays and holidays to send her love and gifts. Her love and remembrance will last forever. 'Our hearts and memories are full of love and joy you have given us.' Her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011 at 10:00 AM in the BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden. Friends may also visit with her family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Interment will take place in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
