Obituary

MERIDEN - Arthur Alfred Crossley, 83, formerly of 22 Baldwin St., died Friday, July 9, 2004, at Miller Memorial Community. He was the husband of the late Dorothy Duchene Crossley. Born in Walton, Nova Scotia, Canada on July 7, 1921, he was the son of the late Alvin L. and Jean Sanford Crossley. He served in the in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater in Guam during World War II. Until his retirement, he was employed as a set-up man and machine operator at the J. K. Winslow Company in Wallingford. He was a member of American Legion Post 45 in Meriden and Veterans of Foreign War Post 9965 in Yalesville. He is survived by a sister-in-law and her husband, Pearl and Eraldo Palumbo of Marion, CT; a brother-in-law, Carl Kenney of Hurst, TX; many nieces, nephews and cousins and many close friends. He was predeceased by his twin brother, Alvin Crossley. Funeral service Monady, July 12 at 11:00 a.m. at Beecher & Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. The Rev. Florence Eddins will officiate. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
