Arthur C. Vignola, age 97, passed away on July 17, 2014. Born in New Haven on January 20, 1917 he was a son of the late Joseph & Josephine Amodio Vignola. Arthur was predeceased by his wife, Filomena 'Millie' Pascarella Vignola; his son Robert M. Vignola; his sisters Julia & Lucia Vignola and Amelia DeLucia and brothers, Anthony, Alfred, Albert, Domenic & Armand Vignola. He is survived by his son Keith A. Vignola & his wife Teresa Giano Vignola of Hamden; his grandchildren, Arthur 'AJ', Lauren, Keith and Aaron Vignola; sister in-law Jennie Vignola and several nieces & nephews. Arthur owned and operated Vignola's Farm in Hamden for most of his life. He was a member of the Connecticut Farm Bureau and Connecticut Christmas Tree Association. Friends may attend his funeral on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 8:00 AM at BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden, followed by his Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 AM in Ascension Church, Dunbar Hill Road, Hamden. Friends may also visit with his family at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Burial will take place in St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven.
