Meriden - Aurelio Eugene Romanini, 70 of 9 Newton St. died Friday, June 29, 2001 in his home. He was the husband of the late Joyce Hecht Romanini. He was born in Middletown, CT a son of the late Aurelio and Pearl Daniels Romanini. He had worked as an orderly at the Meriden-Wallingford Hospital for forty years until his retirement in 1993. He is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Margaret and George Zahariadis of Meriden, Elizabeth ''Betty'' and Michael Hughes Marotti of Meriden, a son Gary Eugene Romanini of Meriden, four sisters, Fran Hart of North Stonington, CT, Lorraine and Lou Gosselin of Southington, Marie Hamilton of Meriden and Denise and Ron Palumbo of New Britain, CT, five grandchildren, Dimitrios Zahariadis, Kelly Lucia, Michael Zahariadis, Tiffany Gerace and Crystal Paradis and two great-grandchildren, Kaine Thomas Castro and Kamryn Brooke Joy Castro. He was predeceased by two sisters, Theresa Kafka and Phyllis Romanini and a brother, Robert Romanini. A funeral service will be held Monday, July 2, 2001 at 11 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, 520 Paddock Ave., Meriden. The Rev. Wallace Merdinyan will officiate. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT FLATOW FUNERAL HOME, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden.
