BARBARA M. CHURCH Meriden, CT & North Eastham, MA- Barbara M. Church wife of the late Alton R. Church passed away June 4, 2005 in the Masonic Geriatric Health Care Center after a brief illness. She was born in Meriden April 10, 1926 a daughter of the late Raymond and Mabel Rushworth Messner and resided in South Meriden most of her life before moving to Cape Cod. Mrs. Church was employed for the International Silver Co. for 16 years and later for the Revere Co for 5 years before retirement. She was a member of the South Meriden Trinity United Methidist Church and taught Sunday School and Bible study classes, and the Tracy Vol. Fire Dept Women's Society. She is survived by two daughters, Enid Learned of Meriden and Holly (Francis)Solecki of Deerfield Beach, FL, a sister Joyce La Roche of Glendora, CA, a brother James Messner and his wife Ruth of Scituate, MA, a grandson, Kevin Learned, and 2 great- grandchildren, Caitlin Falkowski and Portia Learned, a sister-in- law, Irene Church of Meriden, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday morning June 8, at 11 a.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT FLATOW FUNERAL HOME, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. Rev. Susan DeSousa will officiate.
