MERIDEN - Barbara Bunnell Schumann, 86, of 74 Westerly Terrace, died Monday, April 8, 2002, at Bradley Memorial Hospital in Southington. She was the wife of Robert F. Schumann. Born in Meriden, Jan. 27, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Amanda Kantack Bunnell. She had worked as a law office secretary and was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church. She had been a member of the Emblem Club and the Women's Bridge Club. Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Schumann of Meriden; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Virginia Schumann of New Britain; a sister-in-law, Grace Bunnell of Meriden; a dear friend, Dorothy Steele of Meriden and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Dr. Robert Bunnell. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Beecher and Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. The Rev. Perry L. Beaver will officiate. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call one hour prior to the services.
