Bernadette A. 'Bunny' (Zesleski) Mayer, age 77, of Hamden, passed away on June 2, 2016 at Conn. Hospice in Branford. Bunny was born in Phoenixville, PA on February 13, 1939 a daughter of the late Raymond & Margaret (Moore) Zeleski. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, James F. Mayer; her daughters, Krista Davis & her husband Richard of Belding, MI, Kira Barnes & her husband Craig of Hamden and Kendra Latorraca of Hamden; her son Kirk Mayer & his wife Janet of Waterbury; grandchildren, Hannah & Elijah Latorraca, Markus Burleigh, Jill & Jamie Yakushewich and Amanda & Nate Barnes and her sister Margaretta Giaquinto of Royersford, PA. Bunny was predeceased by her siblings, Marie Osting, Dolores Coccia and Joseph, Raymond, Frederick & Theresa Zeleski. She has been a resident of Hamden since 1967, she was a former Sales Rep. of Avon products from 1981 to 2005. Friends may attend her funeral on Monday, June 6th at 10:30 AM from BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Avenue, Hamden, with her Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:30 AM in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Hamden, Friends may also visit with her family on Sunday from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Her interment will take place in St Ann Cemetery, 305 W.
