In Meriden December 24th 2003, Bessie West Crook 101, wife of the late Charles Edward Crook formerly of Hamden. Mother of daughters; Barbara Ehrenfels of Cheshire and Penny Cilo of West Haven. Mother of sons, Jarvis M. Crook of Broomfield, Richard G. Crook of Colebrook and Douglas E. Crook of East Haddam and beloved foster son the late Paul Smith. Also survived by nine grandchildren and one late grandson as well as eight great grandchildren. Mrs. Crook was born May 7, 1902 in Providence, RI. Daughter of late Roland W. and Minnie Childs West. She spent most of her life living in Hamden beforing moving to Meriden in 1980. Funeral service will be held at BEECHER AND BENNETT 2300 Whitney Avenue, Hamden, on Saturday, December 27, 2003 at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be private.
