Betsy Gelb Claro, 64, loving wife of Robert Claro, passed away on March 12, 2015 after a lengthy illness. Born in Scranton, PA on April 1, 1950 to Harriett Isaacs Gelb of Scranton, PA & the late Carl Gelb, Betsy is also survived by daughter Kimberly Horowitz of North Haven; son Justin White & his wife Rita Hamad of San Francisco, CA; daughter Ashley Brzezinski, her husband Tim, and their sons Noah & Elijah of Southington; and sister Cynthia Gelb & her husband Neal Smith of Atlanta, GA. Betsy had been the office manager at the Trinity Evangelical Free Church in Woodbridge for 13 years prior to her retirement. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, photography, and collecting shells on the beach. Over the years Betsy became an event planner for family and friends. Her creativity and enthusiasm helped create memorable occasions for many families. Betsy embraced life and shared her love and passion with everyone she came across; she was an inspiration. Friends are invited to join the family for a memorial service celebrating Betsy's life on Sunday, March 15th, at 6:00 PM at Trinity Evangelical Free Church, 33 Center Rd, Woodbridge. A graveside service will take place on Monday, March 16th, at 11:00 AM at Hillside Cemetery, 166 Wallingford Rd, Cheshire.
