Betty K. Calvi, 97, of Meriden, loving wife of the late Ernest Calvi, passed away on October 22, 2025, at Midstate Medical Center. She was born on November 1, 1927, the daughter of the late Albert and Florence Brady Knop.

A lifelong resident of Meriden, CT, Betty was employed by General Motors Corporation and Lane Construction for over 40 years until her retirement. An avid UConn Huskies women's basketball enthusiast, Betty never missed a game. She enjoyed knitting, ceramics, bowling, crossword and cryptogram puzzles, as well as time with her family and friends She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Meriden.

She is survived by her sister, Pearl Merola of Oxford, FL; nephews, Lauren Humpage of Meriden and Rickey Humpage of Old Lyme; niece, Nancy Weis of Burlington; two great-nieces and three great-nephews.

Betty was predeceased by her three brothers, Albert Knop, Arthur Knop and Walter Knop, all of Meriden; two sisters, Irma Humpage Heller of FL and Hazel Sokolowski of Newington; and her niece, Margot Leon of Meriden.

A memorial service celebrating Betty's life will be held on November 1, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. in Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. Friends may visit with her family from 10:00-10:30 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be held in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
