MERIDEN - Beverly Fowler Schenk, 95, of 292 Thorpe Ave., died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2001, at Connecticut Baptist Home. She was the wife of the late George Schenk. She was born in Meriden July 23, 1906, the daughter of the late Arthur and Lenora Benedict Fowler. She is survived by a daughter, Bernice Shelberg of Meriden; two grandchildren and their spouses, David and JoAnne Shelberg of East Haddam, Holly and Edward LaFayette of Meriden; seven great-grandchildren, Jennifer Shelberg, Priscilla Shelberg, Nicole Shelberg and Joshua Shelberg, all of East Haddam, Matthew LaFayette, Maxwell LaFayette and Samantha LaFayette, all of Meriden; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son-in-law, John Shelberg. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 27, in Middlefield Cemetery in Middlefield, CT. The Rev. Dale Avedio will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of the Beecher and Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden.
