Burton Casman, age 87, of Tucson, AZ passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 11, 2014. He was married to Doreen Kaplowe Casman for 63 years. Born in New Haven on July 17, 1927, he was the son of the late Harry and Helen Coleman Casman. Burt served in the U.S. Army and the Merchant Marines. He was successful in multiple business ventures and a generous supporter of many causes. He is survived by his loving children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was a strong, loving, and caring family man who was respected and cherished by all who knew him. Services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, December 15 at the BEECHER & BENNETT-TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 410 Campbell Ave., West Haven. Interment to be held at Congregation Sinai Memorial Park, Farwell St., West Haven.
