Meriden - Carlton Johnson, 52 passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2009 at Westfield Care & Rehab Center Hospice after a brief battle with cancer. He was born October 16, 1956 in Meriden a son of the late Charles & Mary E. Johnson. He was a self employed painter with many other skills. He is survived by the 'light and smile' in his eyes, daughter Taranena Marie Johnson, three sisters, Helaine Johnson, Paula & Robert Lacy and Rita and Bernie Ball all of Baton Rouge, LA, and three brothers, Ronnie and Charles Johnson of Baton Rouge, LA and Eric Johnson of Houston, TX. He also leaves several nieces and nephews and his special friends, Celestine Pennyman, Brenda and Billy Herschler and long time friend Serraftin 'Tony' Buyuksoy. A Memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2009 at 6pm at Mt.Hebron Baptist Church, 84 Franklin St., Meriden. Contributions in Carlton's memory may be made to Mt.
