In Stamford, Nov. 7, 2005 Carmela Cavalier Parente, 99, of 88 Rockrimmon Rd., Stamford, formerly of Worth Ave., Hamden. Wife of the late G. Robert Parente and the late Edward DeVita. Mother of Rosann Sullivan of New Haven and the late Ronald T. Parente. Sister of the late Florence Formato, Hyacinth Severino, Elizabeth Guernieri, Thomas Cavalier and Louis Cavalier. Also survived by her step-daughters Marlene Casella and Barbara Ann Lipcan, and three grandchildren, Christopher G. Parente, Mark J. Parente and Karen J. Bertini. "Mae" was a resident of Hamden for 25 years and moved to Stamford to be closer to her son and daughter-in-law. She was born in New Haven on March 16, 1906, a daughter of the late Thomas and Ann Lavorgna Cavalier. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Ladies Guild.
