Carol Gergle, 85, of North Haven, wife of the late George Gergle, went home to be with the Lord Jan. 16, 2012. Mother of Mary Ann Conlan of Charlotte, NC., Steve Gergle of Ridgeland, CT., Donald Gergle of Bluffton, SC., and the late Linda Carboni. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Sister of the late Johnny Covello, Frank Covello, Frances Bria, Annie Petrofesso, Virginia Matturro and Clara Davis. She was born in Greenwich, CT Sept. 8, 1926, a daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Belcastro Covello. Prayer service of remembrance will be Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012 11:30 am at the Edward Larwence Funeral Home, 2119 Boston Post Rd, Darien. Family will receive friends Saturday from 10:30 to 11:30am. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery.
