"Katie" Foster
August 14, 1997 – December 12, 2021
Catherine Mary Foster, of Hamden, passed away peacefully of natural causes at her home on December 12, 2021. She was born in New Haven on August 14, 1997 to Mary Nolan Foster and the late Raymond Foster, Jr. Katie is survived by her adoring mother and beloved brother, Robert Nolan Foster, with whom she resided. In addition, she leaves her loving aunts and uncles, Shirley Nolan & Mak McKernan, Paul Montano & Beth Collins, John & Cathy Nolan, Michael & Judy Nolan, Betty & George Wooster, and Peggy & Bill O'Connor; her many cousins, Jane (Danny) Tu, Michele Montano, Rob Nolan, Justin (Danielle) Nolan, Megan Nolan, Donna Nolan (Jamie Debicella), Mike (Kristen) Nolan, George Wooster, Bill O'Connor, and Tim O'Connor; and her younger cousins, Dylan & Rachel Tu, Robbie Nolan, Quinn & Zoe Nolan, and Nolan Canney. An avid animal lover, she will be missed by her fur baby, Riley, and also by many cherished friends, especially Kim, Jenna and Connor.
We were blessed to have Katie in our lives for 24 years. It has been a pleasure to watch her blossom into an independent and caring young woman, fiercely loyal to family and friends and willing to work hard to reach her goals. Her light will not be extinguished, since her sparkle and her loving smile will remain etched on our broken hearts forever.
Katie was a 2015 graduate of Hamden High School and a 2019 graduate of Central Connecticut State University, honoring her late father Raymond and following in his footsteps. Katie was currently employed at Nolan's Hamden Monument Co., her family's business. In the year and a half she was working in the company office she showed compassion, professionalism, patience and kindness to all who entered. Her desire to help people came shining through in every customer contact. Her uncles will forever be grateful for the way she stepped into her role and proud of the way she represented their company.
