Catherine Darlene Nutcher, 74, of Hamden, passed away on February 15, 2022 at the St. Raphael Campus of Yale-New Haven Hospital. She was born in New Haven on March 27, 1947, a daughter of the late Charles and Helen Vulgarkis Roberts, and is survived by her daughter Nicolle Nutcher (Gene Criscuolo), son Nicholas Nutcher, and brother Charles Kirkwood Roberts, II (Patricia). She is also survived by her nieces; Brenna, Alyssa, and Elayna Roberts. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by Arthur Nutcher, whom she was married to for 25 years, and leaves many more nieces and nephews. Catherine worked as a floral designer at The Blossom Shop in New Haven, where she leaves many cherished friendships. She will be fondly remembered for her caring and kind spirit and her creative talent as a floral designer.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 2819 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Friends are invited to meet directly at church. Interment will follow in Centerville Cemetery.
