Obituary

Ceasar Theodore Anquillare, 88, husband of the late Louise Cortese Anquillare, passed away at Avery Heights on May 23, 2016 after a long illness. Born a fourth generation descendant in New Haven on December 29, 1927 to the late Theodore & Antoinette Buonocore Anquillare. Ceasar will be remembered by his sons, Dr. Joseph Anquillare & his wife Teresa of Newington, Ceasar Nicholas Anquillare JP of Woodbridge; grandchildren, Emma, Luisa, & Joseph Anquillare; dear companion, Ursula Michaelis of Monroe; brother, Louis Anquillare & his wife Rosemary of West Haven; sister-in-law, Isabelle Cortese of Milford. Predeceased by his sister, Marie Apuzzo and sister-in-law, Rina Cortese. Ceasar grew up in West Haven before moving to Orange where he has resided for the last 61 years. He was a graduate of Bentley University and New York University. He was the founder of his accounting firm located in West Haven. Ceasar was commended by the Connecticut Society of CPA's as one of the longest practitioners after being licensed for 60 years. In 1965, Ceasar traveled throughout the United States to assist with the enactment of Medicare then signed by President Lyndon Johnson. He served on various industry boards and committees to promote healthcare for the elderly, regardless of income. In his later years, Ceasar donated much of his professional time to small businesses, churches, and charity organizations in St. Croix, US Virgin Islands and the New Haven area. His family would like to thank the employees of Avery Heights in Hartford for their amazing care during Ceasar's time with them. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT-TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, West Haven, on Thursday, May 26th at 9:15 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial to be Celebrated in Holy Infant Church at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment in St. Lawrence Mausoleum. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
