At his home, May 27, 2003, Cecil M. Smart, 60, of 5 Chris-Jon Circle, West Haven, husband of the late Senet Smart, father of Shermaine E. Smart, Anne Marie Bethel both of West Haven, Patricia A. Robertson of Brooklyn, NY, Cecil M. Smart, Jr. of Mountain View, CA and Gerard P. Smart of Japan, brother of Gloria, Aldith, Sherma, Lydia, Firdley, Cecil and Victor Smart all of Tobago, West Indies and Sheldon Crooks of Trinidad also survived by six grandchildren and his companion, Gloria Harris. He was born Oct. 1, 1942 in Tobago, West Indies, a son of the late Austin Smart and Lydma Crooks. He worked for Equitable Life Insurance Co. for 29 years retiring in 1998 as regional manager. Funeral service at Beecher & Bennett Taylor Funeral Home, 410 Campbell Ave. at Court St., West Haven, Saturday, May 31 at 11 a.m. Friends may call Friday 5 to 8 p.m. Interment in Oak Grove Cemetery.
