Dr. Charles Fusaris DDS, age 87, of Westerly Dr. Hamden, passed away Feb. 22, 2010 in St. Raphael Hospital. Dr. Fusaris is the husband of Annis Belaschk Fusaris; father of Marlene Fusaris of Manhattan, NY, Robert Fusaris & his wife Isabelle of Milford, CT, Karl Fusaris & his wife Valentina Dorsa of China, Kim Fusaris & her husband Paul Couto of Londonderry, NH, Kurt Fusaris of Arlington, MA and the late Charles J. Fusaris; brother of Clementine Holobach of Hamden, Joseph Fusaris of North Haven, Orlando Fusaris of Derby and the late Oneil Fusaris & Madeline Barile. Dr. Fusaris is also survived by 4 grandchildren. A graduate of Columbia (P & S) University, he was a dentist for many years in his private practice and a Senior Dentist employed by the State of Connecticut with his office in Hamden. Dr. Fusaris is a WWII US Navy Veteran. He was a founding member of the T Club in New Haven, a poet, an avid reader and Red Sox & U-Conn Husky fan. He also enjoyed playing tennis and classical music. Family and friends may visit at BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave. Hamden on Saturday Feb. 27, 2010 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. His interment will be Private in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Hamden. In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory may be made to a charity of ones choice.
