In the Hospital of St. Raphael, July 6, 2003, Charles Francis Newkirk, 91, husband of 69 years to Juanita Hoard Newkirk of 690 Jones Hill Rd., West Haven, father of Robert Newkirk of West Haven and Charles Newkirk of Derry, NH. Also survived by four grandchildren, Kathryn Rea of West Haven, Deborah Vogt of Deep River, Robert and John Newkirk both of West Haven and five great-grandchildren. Charles was born in Danbury, June 30, 1912 son of the late Everet and Jen Newkirk. He had worked as a master mechanic for the Town of Seymour for 35 years and retired in 1977. Funeral service Wed., July 9, 2003 at 7:30 p.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 410 Campbell Ave. at Court St., West Haven.
