Charles Harold Simjian of Hamden, CT, beloved husband of the late Phyllis Simjian (Beers) for 63 years, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2025 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford, CT. Born July 11, 1930 to the late Yervant Simjian and Catherine Aceto Simjian, he grew up in New Haven, CT. Charlie was the owner of H & C Acoustics, and he loved his work so much he wished he could still be working up until his last days. He made countless contributions to the Greater New Haven area, from local restaurants to commercial office spaces, many of which stand today as a testament to his craftmanship and dedication. Charlie and Phyllis enjoyed hosting holiday parties and especially holiday barbeques where Charlie was the grill master with family and friends. He was predeceased by his brothers Fred of East Haven, Ted of East Haven, and Ed of North Haven. Surviving are three daughters, Lisa Liguori (Joe) of Hamden, Anne Meyer (Paul) of Wilmington, NC, and Janice Ahern (Kevin) of Glastonbury. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Joe Liguori (Kristin) of Branford, Christine Valentino (Enzo) of North Haven, Carolyn Bailey (Eric) of Watertown, Cathryn Liguori of Hamden, Emily Jones of New York, NY, and Douglas Jones of Boston, MA, along with four great-grandchildren.
