Christine Moye Covington, 'Gramz,' 79, of New Haven, loving wife of the late Conrad B. Covington Sr., passed away on December 10, 2018 at Yale- New Haven Hospital. She was born in New Haven on October 11, 1939 to the late Theodore and Anna Dixon Moye. She is survived by her children, Sheri Moye and Conrad B. Covington Jr., sisters, Angela Moye, and Dorothy 'Larry' Jackson, grandchildren, Jerome and John Moye, Ceeonna Covington, and Conrad B. Covington III, and great-grandchildren, Dejohnia Moye, Hunter Rose Moye, and Janyha Snell. Christine was predeceased by her son Ronald Tracy Moye. After graduating from Hillhouse High School in 1957, Christine went on to work for the West Haven Veterans' Hospital for 40 years, retiring as Director of Equal Opportunity Employment. In her free time she enjoyed traveling the world, the casino, bowling, and the company of her friends. She had a special love for the Payne family, as they did for her. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family. A service celebrating Christine's life will be held on Thursday December 20 at 11am in St. Matthew's UFW Baptist Church, 400 Dixwell Ave., New Haven. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
