Claire M. Burns Staple, age 94, of Hamden, passed away on September 20, 2022 at her home. She is survived by her husband Arthur D. Staple, and several nieces and nephews. Claire was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on December 18, 1927, a daughter of the late Edmund & Blanche (Boisclair) Burns. She was predeceased by her siblings, Irene Hague, Rita Sullivan, Edward, William and Paul Burns. Claire was a Registered Nurse, caring for patients in Roger Williams General Hospital in Rhode Island, and also for many years in hospitals in New Jersey. She relocated from New Jersey to Hamden in 1996.
Claire will be interred in Mount Saint Mary's Cemetery in Pawtucket, Rhode Island in a Private Service. Arrangements are in care of Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, CT.
