Obituary

Curtis Lomer Manseau October 5, 1924 - March 15, 2009 Curt passed away at the Veteran's Memorial Hospital after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease. He is survived by his wife Doris, son Curt (Mary) and daughter Dawn (Lenny) Croteau all of West Haven, a sister Eleanor Dio of TX, Doris' children Diane, Stephen, Daryl, Laura (Gary) Lindgren all of West Haven, and Christine (Mike) of NC, nine grandchildren and one great-grandson. He was predeceased by his parents, Romeo and Martha Curtis Manseau. Curt was proud to be a 60 year member of Annawon Lodge #115 AF & AM. He also served as a volunteer with the Masonic Escort Service at the VA for 27 years. He served in the US Air Force in the Pacific during WW II and later became a master mechanic. Curt and his long time friend and business partner Louis Sacco owned Campbell Auto Electric in West Haven for many years. In Curt's memory, the family wishes to extend a note of grateful appreciation to the doctors and staff of the VA for their loving care. Services will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2009. A Masonic Service in celebration of Curt's life will be held at BEECHER & BENNETT-TAYLOR, 410 CAMPBELL AVE., WEST HAVEN at 12:30 PM, to be followed by a Service of Christian Burial at Trinity Episcopal Church on the Green, Temple St., New Haven at 1:30 PM. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home Wednesday from 12 noon to 1 pm.
