On Aug. 2, 2004 in Fort Myers, FL, Cynthia Lynn Anderson, formerly of Hamden, passed away after a valiant struggle with a long illness. Her son, Jacob Shaver, her daughter, Sandra Shaver and grandson, Damien Shaver, all of Fort Myers, FL, survive her. In addition, she is survived by her mother, Betty Anderson Miller of Hamden, sisters, Kathryn Anderson of Hamden and Leslie Kelly of Scott's Hill, TN, brother, James Anderson, also of Hamden, and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her ex-husband, Bruce Shaver. Cynthia was predeceased by her father, Robert F. Anderson and her stepfather, John Miller. Cynthia was born in New Haven, Dec. 11, 1953 and attended Hamden schools. Her special love was horseback riding. She moved to Fort Myers, FL in 1976 and raised her family there. There will be a memorial service at Christ Lutheran Church, 600 Shepard Ave., Hamden at the earliest convenience of the family. Friends and relatives are invited to join them at that time.
