With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of David Michael DelGiudice, on May 18, 2026 at the age of 67. He was born in New Haven, CT and grew up in Hamden, CT. He had currently been residing in Stamford, CT.
David graduated from St. Thomas’ Day School in New Haven in 1970; Cheshire Academy in Cheshire, CT in 1976 where he was Salutatorian of his graduating class; Southern Connecticut State University in 1981; and the University of Nebraska in 1984 where he earned a Master’s Degree in Organic Chemistry.
David was an educator, scientist, and inventor. He was a chemist for four years and had four National/International Patents. His real passion was teaching science at Sacred Heart Academy in Hamden from 1988-1990 and at Stamford High School in Stamford for 31 years. He was also part of the Adjunct Faculty at Sacred Heart University, UCONN, Southern Connecticut State University, and the University of Nebraska.
David loved playing baseball and basketball as a youth in Hamden. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and friends and went on many cruises. He was a huge fan of the New York Yankees and University of Nebraska Cornhuskers Football Team. He also enjoyed going to Broadway musicals and concerts.
He was a loving person who was always there to help and care for others. He cherished his friends and family and loved all his dogs and cats from childhood up until his passing. He was very personable and could make people smile and laugh with just a few words or with his beautiful smile.
Dave’s belief was that God’s children should love to learn and be encouraged to work with each other to create a beautiful world.
