David Jonathan Dietz, 66, of Hamden, passed away on October 14, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of 43 years to Scherry Koontz Dietz. Born in Johnstown, PA on February 7, 1958 to the late Harry and Dorothy Dietz. After growing up in Pennsylvania, David relocated to Connecticut over 40 years ago. He was a master mechanic, having worked for Waste Management and most recently All-American Waste. David had a love and talent for woodworking, which he enjoyed in his spare time. He will be remembered as a loving and protective husband and father.
David was predeceased by his son, William Koontz. Besides his wife, he will be remembered by his sisters and brother.
