David R. Mangler, 71, of Alton, VA, formerly of East Haven, passed away at his home on January 15, 2014 with his family by his side. Born in New Haven on July 25, 1942 to the late Adolph A. and Myrtle Deane Mangler. David leaves his wife Marion Faulkner Mangler; son, David Mangler of New Haven; step-children, Diana Pulisciano and Roberta Delgobbo both of Alton, VA, Catherine Christensen of New Haven, and Robert Christensen, Jr of, NY; sister, Sandy Burns; 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter, Dawn Parrino and his sister Barbara Kuhn. Before his retirement David worked for Local 33 Heat & Frost Insulators for 33 years. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Saturday, January 18th at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place in Hamden Plains Cemetery.
