David M. Perkins, age 67, of North Haven passed away at Yale New Haven Hospital on October 25, 2026 with his wife and son by his side. Born in Middletown, Connecticut on October 17, 1959, David was a son of the late Raymond and Nancy (Merrill) Perkins. He attended Xavier High School and later SCSU. Prior to his illness, he worked for many years as a Software Developer and spent his free time taking long bike rides, camping, hiking, and woodworking. He was a skilled bread baker and made a particularly impressive loaf of Anadama bread. He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Stephanie (Parker) Perkins; his son, Geoffrey A. Perkins and his wife Jacquelynn; and their children, Kelsey and Jocelyn, of whom he was particularly proud, all of North Haven. He is also survived by brothers, Merrill Perkins of Old Lyme and Timothy Perkins of Germany; and his sister, Julie Perkins of Groton. David was a resident of North Branford prior to moving to North Haven. He was a member of the North Branford Congregational Church, where he served as a deacon, and later the North Haven Congregational Church.

David's Celebration of Life will be held privately with his family. Arrangements are in care of Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, Hamden, CT. In lieu of flowers, gifts of remembrance can be sent to either the Yosemite Conservancy or the Sierra Club, both of which were near and dear to his love of the great outdoors.
