Deborah Ann Bassett, age 71, of Wolcott, passed away on November 22, 2020 at Elim Park Baptist Home in Cheshire. Born in New Haven on April 23, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Russell G. Bassett, Sr. and Alberta F. Berlepsch Bassett. A resident of Hamden most of her life, Deborah was a receptionist for many years at the former Hair Noveau Beauty Salon in Cheshire. She is survived by her nieces, Allison Forsythe, Jennifer Forsythe, and Tracey Freeto; 2 grandnephews, and 1 great-grandniece. Deborah was predeceased by her sister Pamela Forsythe, and her brother Russell G. Bassett, Jr. She enjoyed many years involved with the Cheshire Theater Group.
Friends may visit with her family on Friday, December 4, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Avenue, Hamden and may attend her Prayer Service, which will begin at 4:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
